Climate Change Adaptation Skills for Professional program – Brisbane consultation November 10th 2008, QLD Art Gallery – Modern Art Gallery – Lecture Theatre
The Brisbane forum is the first of a series of state based climate change consultations. These will also include a number of forums being held by AILA to update members and other professions on the current status of the Climate Change Adaption Skills for Professionals Program, to engage the locals in a discussion and to provide guidance back to the project leaders on the future directions for the project and the AILA in its advocacy work.
The Project Manager is Catherine Neilson. Also in attendance on the day will be representatives from the CSIRO, Griffith University and the EIANZ.
The draft discussion paper – AILA National Landscape Principles has just been uploaded to the website – link on this page:
http://www.aila.org.au/climate/consultations/Brisbane08.htm.
This Draft Discussion Paper has been prepared as a part of the Climate Change Adaptation Skills for Professionals Program (CCASPP), as a means to engage further discussion and input towards the development of a set of National Landscape Principles, due to be completed by June 2009.
Contributions and comment on this document are welcomed from Institute members and interested parties. All participants at the Brisbane National Consultation Forum will need to read the document prior to attendance at that forum.
Your feedback is, as always, appreciated.
Kind regards,
Lisa Johnston
