			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 2011 AILDM student design Competition has closed and many entries have been received from all over Australia.<br />
The standard of entries is generally very high this year. It is particularly good to see so much care taken in addressing specific site conditions, opportunities and constraints. Interestingly, this year has seen the majority of entries been produced using computer aided graphic tools.<br />
The judging is currently underway.<br />

<p>An opening has arisen for a skilled and motivated individual to join our construction team as a Landscape Site<br />
Manager/Forman.</p>
<p>Responsibilities: <br />
   <br />
• To manage residential landscaping projects and to deliver them on time and on budget with excellent level of workmanship<br />
• Liaising and managing clients, internal and external contractors, authorities and suppliers<br />
• Conduct site inspections/meetings throughout the design, construction and handover stages of a project together with design team to ensure thorough planning and delivery of projects<br />
• Effectively manage and motivate the construction team</p>
<p>Skills Required:</p>
<p>• Qualification in Landscape Construction with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience<br />
• Excellent communication skills<br />
• Skills in leadership, mentoring and motivation of junior staff<br />
• Excellent eye for detail<br />
• Strong cost control and project planning skills<br />
• Ability to liaise and negotiate with clients and contractors to help deliver beautiful and durable garden renovations</p>

They can also be more drought resistant, require minimal fertilisers, grow through the summer and are adapted to local soil types and conditions.</p>
