Join landscape architect Paul Thompson for an inspirational day of planting design theory and action! This masterclass will give you plenty of ideas about how to create harmonious and spectacular planting schemes, improve the soil, work with microclimates and design for short and long term effects.
Paul is one of Australia’s leading planting designers. Australian plants have been his medium of personal expression for creating spaces for the enjoyment and use of others. He is best known for the Australian Garden in the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne which he designed with colleagues Taylor Cullity Lethlean. Paul has worked on a wide range of projects from numerous small private gardens to larger acreages of public, industrial and rural land, including six Botanic Gardens, the Forest Gallery in the Museum of Melbourne and Birrarung Marr in Melbourne CBD. With an extensive knowledge of plant performance gathered over more than 40 years, Paul is frequently in demand as a speaker and teacher and we are truly delighted he will be presenting this masterclass. There’s more: as part of the course you will receive a copy of Paul’s recently revised book Australian Planting Design.
Why not join us on 17 September in Bungendore NSW for a great day of planting design -
