Irrigation Australia Information Session

SYDNEY REGION
INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIVES INFORMATION SESSION

Irrigation Australia has expanded its certification program to provide simple, easily identifiable differentiation of irrigation professionals committed to best practice and professionalism of the industry at large.

Those who use a certified irrigation specialist to install or run their systems will know that those people have the minimum skills to install or operate or manage a system efficiently, effectively and with least environmental impact.

We would like you to be aware of what is available so that you can participate directly or help spread the word as you are the people contacting people in the industry on a daily basis.

The following people are those who need to know how they can learn more about best practice in irrigation installation and operation.

Those experienced in running an irrigation system on a golf course, school rounds or public open space – may be eligible right now to gain recognition for your skills in system operation, measurement and maintenance, in soil analysis and minimising environmental risk, and therefore become a Certified Irrigation Operator.

Those experienced in installing irrigation systems – may be eligible right now to gain recognition for their skills in system installation, troubleshooting, measurement, minimising environmental risk and in preparing ‘as constructed’ drawings, and therefore become a Certified Irrigation Installer.

Those wanting to improve their knowledge and skills, or those of staff members, in irrigation installation and operation.
Ryde TAFE offers training to help people to gain the skills and knowledge to become a certified irrigation operator or installer. This training can lead to gaining a Certificate III in Irrigation.
