What capabilities do you need in graduates?

RMIT University is undertaking research to identify the capabilities employers require in graduates.

If you recruit graduates either through graduate specific programs or through general recruitment processes we want to hear from you. We want to know your thoughts about the general knowledge, skills and attributes of graduates from all disciplines. This is one step RMIT is taking to better address your needs in recruiting graduates.

Information collected will be used to guide the development of a small number of focus groups to be held in Melbourne. A report will be prepared, based on the information collated from the survey and the focus groups, that will outline the graduate capabilities sought by employers across a range of key sectors and their links to Education for Sustainability. The report will be used to inform our teaching programs.

The survey can be completed on line at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XXBP2V8 and is completely confidential. Deadline for submissions is 27th August.

We would therefore appreciate it if you could share your experiences associated with managing and working with graduates within your organisation. If you have any questions about the survey and research work, please get in contact with Teresa Day, Research Assistant, RMIT University on teresa.day@rmit.edu.au
